Each year SportsFest gets bigger and better . . . this means our expenses also grow.
We have grown from 16 sporting events in 1997 to 40 sporting events in 2007.
We have more than 10,000 athletes participating in their respective sporting events, and more than 150,000 spectators enjoy all that SportsFest has to offer.
We provide the exposure, support, equipment, and venues, (the beautiful Allentown parks system) so that local & national sports organizations can best showcase their talent.
SUCCESS is our CULTURE and our CULTURE promotes SUCCESS!!!
Each year we have carefully planned, directed, and organized exponential growth:
- To promote sports in the Lehigh Valley by offering to local and national athletes the chance to compete in the sport of their choice.
- To provide good, clean, family recreation for participants, organizers, and guests alike.
- To promote Allentown and The Lehigh Valley…..
- To encourage participation of inner city high schools through their volunteer efforts, and we reward them accordingly. Specific examples are the involvement of the Dieruff and William Allen High Schools' ROTC, and cheerleaders.
- To enhance the amenities available to the citizens of Allentown. Proceeds are used to upgrade various City Recreation Department functions and facilities.
SportsFest is widely recognized in and beyond our greater Lehigh Valley community for the enduring quality of our events as well as for the exposure we provide for our sponsors.
SportsFest has always been financially self-supporting. This is due primarily to the generosity of our sponsors. We continue to find new ways to give them exposure.
